Supernews makes headline news on the streets of Jozi

Supernews launched its streetpole campaign in Johannesburg today as 54 billboards (3.6m high x 2.5m wide) lined main roads and busy intersections on Beyers Naude Drive, Hendrik Potgieter Road, Jan Smuts Avenue, Sandton Drive and Witkoppen Road, and Ontdekkers road, Rivonia Road to name a few.

Headlines such as ‘Change the headlines, Change South Africa’ and ‘Re-imagine the news’ aim to both educate the public about an alternative, uplifting and solution-driven news platform, as well as motivate ordinary citizens to pick up their cameras or cell phones by ‘Report(ing) the news from a new perspective’ as another headline suggests.

Brad Fisher, CEO of ADreach says, “I am very passionate about South Africa, and about keeping South Africans positive about the country and their future. We are bombarded by bad news on a daily basis. This is a great, positive initiative, and we are proud to be a part of it.

As the commuter public, we’d love to hear your comments on the campaign.
