UCT’s Benjamin is crazy enough to truly believe that what he does can make a difference to the world, and wants to see South Africa bring about a change in the global perception of Africa. He considers himself however, a change maker only in the humblest sense of the word, as he resonates with Facebook’s unofficial motto: “only 1% complete”. Benjamin believes passionately that knowledge is the chief tool of empowerment, and wants to be a part of the entrepreneurial force that makes South Africa a better place. As a developing high impact leader and passionate conservationist, Durban born Ameil believes that regardless of what you do, if you aim to be significant, you will make a difference and change your field. Ameil hopes to change the world by bridging the gap between good science and policy to exact well informed social decisions.
Benjamin is a 3rd year B.Bus.Sci; Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Fellow and has founded his own website; Varsity View; Ameil, is a 3rd year B.Sci and founder of Made in Afrika
