Everyone seems to be looking down these days. We’ve forgotten how to engage or have a conversation or smile at a stranger or ask for directions, because simply put, we’re otherwise engaged.
We’re constantly on the phone or sms’ing or browsing the web. We miss sunsets to reply to someone we haven’t even met. We sit in restaurants without making eye contact because we’re googling the news instead of discussing it. We harldy watch an event anymore because we’re too busy taking photos to post onto facebook…
We know we have to move with the times and that communication is really at the touch of a button. But in truth, we’ve lost touch – the human touch.
We’d like to know what you think about our 21st Century ‘communication culture’. Is it rendering people devoid of social skills? Is it making everyone memory-lazy and google-dependant? Is it making us miss out on the simple, important things in life? One thing’s for sure, it’s definitely keeping chiropractors in business!
