FAITH LEADERS TAKE A STAND IN THE PREVENTION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND CHILDREN

South Africa is a country of many faiths and cultures but one thing unites all good people: The desire to protect women and children from the pain and suffering of domestic violence and abuse, to hold perpetrators accountable and, for many, the desire to help perpetrators turn their lives around, make amends and find healing too.

This powerful series of online messages (see individual clips) show faith leaders from a range of spiritual traditions in South Africa sharing their thoughts on the matter.  Faith leaders in our country minister to millions. Within their congregations are countless survivors and abusers, and in some cases abusers are people in the clergy too. They need to recognise and take responsibility for the issue of domestic and gender based violence and do all they can to make a difference. In this frank campaign key leaders step forward to say,

‘AS FAITH LEADERS WE TAKE A STAND – WILL YOU?’
