Power Generator

Currently, Solar Power seems to be the only alternative used in households. But I have another one!

From Physics we learned about electricity induction through a permanent magnet, so looking at Faraday’s law and Lenz’s law there’s the simple device – the capacitor and the dynamo.

Something can be invented.

How?

The mechanism of a bicycle dynamo can help us generate electricity but the power is used to light a torch. That’s where the capacitor comes in – to store the charges produced and then it can be used for something else. So this device will be mainly the combination of a dynamo mechanism and a capacitor. This’ll be done at a larger scale for a house. Dynamos need a rotary mechanism.

So I thought, what about cars? They will be a great source of this rotary mechanism.

This device will help

  1. Reduce the demand of electricity power, thus reducing the fumes emitted by power stations that contribute to global warming.
  2. Eskom to easily reach the 15% excess of power generation.
  3. Whenever there is load shedding, you’ve got the device on your side.

It will be like having your own portable power station just for your home.
