Like the idea of designers creating one off pieces for you at affordable prices – while at the same time reducing waste, protecting the environment, and helping people and endangered animals?
A trio consisting of a nurse, a filmmaker and an engineer are making social improvements in their respective industries. ROCK & AID fashion with WASTE, or RAW! as they call themselves, could potentially be helping a lot of people in underprivileged communities by providing recycled & upcycled free clothing to South Africa, China, America, and England.
“Our passion for the environment, animals, fashion, and careers can transcend globally”, says filmmaker Bahia Fitchen. “We don’t just think, we act on our awareness. Through our actions, we feel motivated and rewarded. Through fashion we see the possibility of change.”
RAW! has made it to the first round of YOXI’s Trim the Waste of Fashion, so check out //yoxi.tv/team/410# to vote or become fan of RAW!
