With the Olympics coming up, the fate of stadiums are yet again in the news. We are reposting this assignment in the hope that new thinking will be exposed!
Post Soccer World Cup, we have a lot of BIG stadiums at our disposal – so how are we going to use them in a way that makes them sustainable both financially and socially? Can we expand their use beyond just sporting events? How can we inspire South Africans to ‘keep participating’? How can we use these iconic landmarks to keep the world coming back for more? Look at international precedent too – what is England doing post Olympics? Can we learn from what other countries have done/are doing?
