Violet’s Walk takes third place

The third R50 000 prize in the Your Street CT Challenge went to Violet’s Walk, a clearly marked walking route for Woodstock with resting benches along the way.

The walking route will centre around Fairview Park in Woodstock, Cape Town, with resting benches – inspired by fold-down theatre-like chairs – placed strategically along the way to encourage people to use the streets of Woodstock as a meeting and gathering place. The benches will be fixed onto the exterior walls of properties found along the walking route.

The concept was created by Luke Pedersen, Jen Pedersen, Jessicah Pedersen, Katherine Spindler and Kirsty Rielly.
