When you get a room full of scientists, professors and organisers to talk about changing the world, an eyebrow goes up. But that is exactly what people are doing every month at the Biomimicry Networking events.
This group of individuals want to redesign a way of thinking and creating that will model itself off nature — in the form of ‘biomimicry’. This event featured presenters from Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) who are incorporating a new curriculum for a class project driven by the imperative to teach sustainable design via science, biology, technology and different areas of design.
The audience also heard about World Water day in Cape Town coming up on 22nd March, and the UN’s visit to Cape Town.
