Prepare to Pitch it
Prepare a credible and inspiring pitch to communicate your idea to the people who can help you realize it. Here are some guidelines:
- What inspired your idea? Why?
- Create a provocative statement for your idea
- What excites you most about this idea and why?
- Tell a brief and engaging story. Be clear. Keep it simple.
- What’s the bigger vision? (long term social impact)
- Identify contextual opportunities
- Can it be replicated?
- Include interviews and feedback from your process
- What has been your biggest learning?
- Be a SUPER MAVERICK! We need to see/hear/feel your energy, passion and commitment coming across!
Video it
Check out our video-recording, and uploading tips. You can also pitch your idea in 500 words that includes photos. Answer these questions:
- Who are you/your team?
- Outline the problem you’ve identified.
- What’s your Super Idea/Solution and what inspired it? (your solution must be original, realistic and implementable)
- How will it work? (show a demo/model/video/image/example/precedent, etc)
- What will it take to make your idea happen? It must be a sustainable solution/concept.
- How will your idea positively impact SA? (ie: how will it change thinking, behaviours and systems?)
- What is your Supernews headline? (Summarize your idea in a single headline)
