S.A trivia’s main objective is to improve the level of everybody’s basic general knowledge. As we all know education levels in South Africa are very poor, so this game will teach players basic facts about South Africa such as: Who is the president; what are the countries that border South Africa; what are the 11 official languages? (The game’s difficulty level is created for less educated people between the ages of 7 and 25).
Despite the normal scoring system, there is an additional ‘daily challenge’. This aspect of the game will keep gamers interested in playing the game by pursuing to be the best player the day.
A different single challenge is uploaded daily. Gamers can choose whether to accept the challenge or not. If accepted, the faster they complete the challenge, the better they will score. Scores must be synchronized to see how the gamer fares on a nationwide/global scale ranking.

2. Background and Instructions
3. A 7 by 7 grid (or according of screen size) with a 20 second timer.
4. Enter name and submit score
How the game works
Step 1: The gamer first chooses between the low or high quality option. The low quality option is simply without the unnecessary pictures found in the high quality option.
Step 2: Background and Instructions – “complete the round as fast as possible by finding the answers to the questions amongst the scrabbled letters”. Press begin.
Step 3: Answers to the questions must be randomly dispersed amongst the scattered letter in the grid. The gamer must highlight the correct answer(s) and then submit his answer. If any incorrect answer is submitted, the correct answer(s) is displayed [teaching aspect], his score is tallied up and it’s game over. The gamer must then enter his name and submit his score but if the answers are correct then the gamer will proceed to the next round till an incorrect answer is entered or the time runs out. The timer restricts gamers from researching the answer(s) and placing the gamer under a bit of pressure.
Rounds are randomly chosen from a pool of approximately 100 rounds of general knowledge questions. Each round has one or several answers. Here are a few examples:
• What are the mayor cities in South Africa?
• Which countries border South Africa?
• What is the last name of our current president and our former two presidents?
• In what years did South Africa win the world cup rugby?
• What are our national flower, bird and fish?
